Cub Scouts are young people usually aged between 8 and 10½ years old.
They belong to the second section in the Scouting family. There are loads of fun things to do as a Cub Scout. They get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If they do the activities properly then they are able to get a badge to wear on their uniform.
As a uniformed organisation, all members are expected to wear uniform.
The Cub Scout Section meet once a week on a Tuesday 6:00pm - 7:15pm.
Subs are paid by standing order each month.
Investiture, this is when children formally join Cubs, this is once they have an understanding about Cubs and what happens. They will then be presented with their group badges and the necker.
To be invested they will need to have a Cub uniform, which is a Green sweatshirt and navy blue activity trousers, these can be bought from the uniform shop in Civic Centre, Wythenshawe.
